1997; Hale Bobb hangs over the town of Richmond, North Yorkshire, UK.

Brightest comet I ever saw. Had to get a pic of it.

Aww I remember this comet :D It was beautiful...
I met the guy who discovered it yesterday  He was telling us it's soooo much bigger then any other comets that have passed over :D

It's really interesting that you met the guy who discovered it. Was that Alan Hale or Thomas Bopp. It was very bright and was viable for a long time and, as you say, a beautiful sight. :)

I remember standing in the yard staring at it :D
Thomas Bopp :) he was visiting the Birds of Prey Centre where I volunteer. He had lots of pictures from Huble and others with him for a talk so we showed us them all, amazing images!

I would love to visit a Bird of Pray Centre and get some photos. I think there's one fairly near to where I live. Somewhere near a town called Leyburn in the Yorkshire Dales (I'm from near Richmond).

It must have been great to meet him. :)

Congrats on getting both tails so fully exposed - and with the city lights in the same frame to boot!

Thanks. I took quite a few different exposures times because I wanted to get a decent image without the sky rotating too much and smearing the image of the comet. This one was the best one. Glad you like it. :)
